About Your Stay — Frequent Questions

Q.
How far in advance should reservations be made?
A.
During the season, we recommend reservations for weekends and holidays are made 4 to 6 weeks in advance to assure the availability of your favorite cottage or room. However, cancellations do occur so please call our office or place your request for availability on this web-site. Back to top

What is considered season ?
A.
Season is typically March 1st through December 1st. Sherwood Court is closed during the winter months starting December 1st through March 1st. Back to top

Do you require a deposit?
A.
  • We guarantee reservations with a valid Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card, or a debit card.
  • We require a deposit of 1/2 (50%) of your intended stay.
  • We require remaining balance at check-in.

Q.
Will I get my deposit back if, for some reason, I have to cancel?
A.
  • We charge a $25-per-accommodation processing fee on all cancellations and changes.
  • We treat shortened stays as cancellations if they do not meet Minimum Stay Requirements: 2 nights for weekends.
  • We will refund your deposit - less the $25 processing fee - if you cancel a reservation at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • We will not refund your deposit if you cancel within 7 days of arrival date.
  • We will not refund your deposit if you cancel a reservation of 5 or more days within 14 days of arrival date.
  • We will not refund your deposit if you cancel a reservation of more than 1 room or cottage within 14 days of arrival date.

Do I pay for my stay upon checkout?
A.
Full payment for your entire stay must be made upon arrival. Sorry, there is no refund for early departures. Back to top

Are there discounts available?

We offer midweek discount rates for stays on Sunday through Thursday. Back to top

What are check-in and check-out times?
A.
Check-in time is after 3 pm. Check-out is 11:00 a.m. If advance notice is received, special arrangements can be made to accommodate early arrivals or very late arrivals, if possible. Back to top

How late is the office open?
A.
Office hours are from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. The owners reside off premises, but are available 24 hours in case of emergency. Back to top

Is there a minimum stay requirement?
A.
A minimum 2 night stay is required only on weekends. Back to top

How much are your rooms?
A.
  • Room rates range from $49/$59 - $69/$79 (week/weekend) plus tax.
  • Cottage rates range from $89/$99 - $139/$149 (week/weekend) plus tax.
  • We offer a wide variety of accommodations and therefore have an equally wide range of rates.

Q.
What's the difference between a room and a cottage?
A.
Cottages are free-standing, individual little buildings. They are furnished more like a room in your home and do not have that "motel feel" to them. They have a wonderful view of our wooded hollow with the woods in the background. All are non-smoking. Back to top

How far are you from town?
A.
We are located in town within the historic district. Less than 1/2 mile and within walking distance (10 minutes) from the heart of downtown. For better orientation, view the maps. Back to top

How far are you from the Passion Play and other attractions?
A.
We are located about seven driving minutes from the Passion Play and only a few minutes from all other attractions. Back to top

How far are you from Branson?
A.

How far is it from Beaver Lake or Lake Leatherwood?

Where is the nearest airport?
A.
The closest major airport is Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA)located in Highfill (close to Bentonville). There is a regional airport in Berryville (11 miles) or Drake Field in Fayetteville (50 miles). Back to top

Does Sherwood Court provide wedding services?
A.
We specialize in small, intimate, sweet, quick and inexpensive ceremonies in a beautiful garden setting or in your cottage. We also offer very affordable Wedding and Honeymoon Packages. We can also provide you with the names of local ministers or consultants for more detailed or larger weddings to be located off the resort premises. Back to top

What are the different packages offered?

We offer several packages with your special interests in mind. May it be Wedding, Romance or Relaxation. If you do not find what you are looking for, custom packages are available upon request. Please check out our list of packages. Back to top

How do we get tickets to the Passion Play or Music Shows?

We provide a free reservation service to the Passion Play, music shows massage therapy and restaurants. Back to top

What's in your cottages and rooms?
A.
Everyone of our cottages is uniquely furnished and decorated, and offer a wide range of amenities. From basic to elaborate, we offer something for everyone in every price range. Special features to choose from include Jacuzzis, fireplace, kitchen, private porch or just a smaller cottage or room with a cozy bed and lovely decor. All units feature remote cable TV's with free HBO, radio alarm clocks, in-room coffee makers and hairdryers. In addition, all cottages are also equipped with refrigerators and microwaves, iron and ironing board and some also feature stereos with CD players. . Back to top

Is smoking permitted?
A.
We offer a smoke free environment. The cottages and rooms at Sherwood Court are all non smoking! You are, however, welcome to step outside and enjoy a cigarette if you are a smoker. If this rule is violated a $ 150 deep cleaning fee will be charged. Back to top

Do the cottages have kitchens?
A.
We have one cottage with a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience if you choose to prepare a meal in your cottage. All you need to bring is your food. There is a mini-mart located just up the street from us and a full service grocery store 1/2 mile away. Back to top

Is there daily maid or linen services?
A.
We provide full maid service by request - leave a sign on your door. Back to top

Do the units have phones?
A.
In order to assure you a relaxed atmosphere, no phones are provided in the units. However, there is a phone available in the office you may use, using a credit card, calling card, 800 number or collect calls. If someone needs to get a hold of you, a member of our office staff will contact you personally. Back to top

What about parking?
A.
Every room and cottage has safe, reserved, at-your-door parking. In addition, there is also parking available for boats or trailers. Back to top

Are children allowed?
A.
We welcome families with children. Keep in mind that even our largest units can only accommodate a maximum of four people (including children and babies) Back to top

Do you take pets?
